Oh yes, that was the real reason I traveled to Nairobi in February. I really wanted to propose to my Rhoda on Valentine’s Day. We had looked at a ring before but not bought it. But exactly this ring I had then bought by phone to pick him up in time in the store. On Valentine’s Day we drove together to the Oloolua Nature Trail in Nairobi. Of course I also had a rose with me. When Rhoda thought we were recording a video as usual, I started the music “You’re Still The One” and proposed to her with the ring in my hand. It was romantic and also somehow…

Unfortunately, I had to travel back to Germany for the time being. However, there is a lot for us to do.  Because since 14.2.2022 we are engaged. Now it’s about getting all the papers to get married in Nairobi. For this Rhoda was already today in the German Embassy for a copy of the passport and will have a second birth certificate issued this week. When all this is with me, I will go to the registry office to apply for a certificate of marriageability.
